What makes a set? Is it the shape, color, size, or number of objects? Throughout this workshop, we will brainstorm and discuss the inherent qualities that make up a set and explore creative solutions to prepare us for the making.

Demonstrations will be focused on soft slab construction techniques. Participants will explore making and working with simple paper patterns to create their forms. They can expect to create a cream and sugar set, a salt and pepper set, and a butter dish and tray. Additional time will be spent of surface techniques such as slip trailing and stenciling.

Liz looks forward to sharing many tips and tricks to add to your creative process. Her workshops emphasize one-on-one interaction in a supportive, positive environment where experimentation is encouraged and individual development nurtured.
