The pail is an object that never tires my curiosity. I have spent much of my professional career creating various abstractions of this simple form. This pail features the “berry dot” motif, a combination of terra sigilatta and underglaze brushed over abstracted floral slip-trailed drawings.  The outside includes waxy, velvety, and shiny surfaces, while the inside features an opaque snow white shiny glaze.  The handle is formed from thin bailing wire and contains a matching striped lug.  The pail is designed to sit on a “brick”, a handbuilt hollow six sided form but may sit solo as well.  It is versatile to compliment any room in the home.
